Knowing how difficult it is to find modest clothing, it is our desire to serve busy mothers by sewing modest dresses that are both practical and pretty for their daughters. Our goal is to glorify God in our work, and minister to the needs of families for modest apparel for their daughters. 

We prefer sewing for girls ages four through fourteen, but are flexible and willing to sew for other ages as well. We do not make fancy, complex dresses, as our goal is to make affordable everyday modest clothing. We can sew from your patterns and fabric if you so desire. 

We offer custom designed, hand made modest clothing, no doubt of better quality and value than one will find at stores like Nordstrom's. However, we are not offering Nordstrom's "The '50s sexy-librarian look is in" style. Rather, we make God-honoring, modest apparel for young (and older) ladies. 

We will take a limited number of custom orders each month, as we are involved in normal household chores, cooking and gardening, etc. 

Who We Are

Bettie was home educated on the mission field, home educated their three children and those three are now home educating her 21 grandchildren, as the children get old enough. 4 years after her husband died, she and Pastor Ovid Need, whose wife also died, married. Pastor Need is now pastoring a new family-friendly church in the Moorefield-Baker area of WV. He also writes theological books, and edits The Biblical Examiner. Pastor Need and his wife, Bettie also have a Christian Courtship ministy.
