I have four girls (15, 13, 9, and 4)
and would like them to dress modestly.
After searching and searching I finally
found
some bloomers at an affordable price!
My daughter received her dresses yesterday
in great condition--thanks!!! She really likes the new one!! The
scallops on the edge of the sleeves was a dainty touch that surprised
and pleased her.

My daughter's dress arrived today,
and she loves it! She esp. loves the full swirly skirt. She's
generally a no-nonsense, give me my denims and practical things
type of girl, so it was fun to see her enjoying that! ;-)

watching my daughter run around here with a secret that I already

My husband didn't have a Mother's Day gift for me yet. We decided
to let him "look
good" and surprise our daughter with the aprons to give me

was thrilled, he said, b/c you all made them and she is giving
them to me
next Sunday. She is hiding them in her room.

of the dress I made out of the pattern. This is the first dress
I made with the pattern, but I don't have a picture of the second.

Hi Bettie,
Dresses #2 and 3 arrived
today!! They are so beautiful. How clever of you to sew down that
Peter Pan collar-- its perfect for me. I also love how the sleeves
can be tucked up or down, with the nifty v cut in them. The rose
dress is fabulous! The material is good and sturdy-- I think you
had another color in that fabric, so I'll have to order another
dress from it before you stop taking orders. The sash on dress
2 is thinner than I thought it would be, and I'm so glad. If it
was wider, it may have looked too young on me. And you were so
right to put more floral fabric at the hem, especially since the
rose material is on the light side.
Well, I have been peppering
you with emails, haven't I? :-) Now I have another question. When
you get the fabric and notions for the fall dresses, is there
any way that the "flowy part" of the skirts on the dresses
can be somewhere between dress 1 and dresses 2 and 3? What I mean
is, can they be made a little less flowy than dresses 2 and 3,
but a bit more than dress 1? If so, that would be perfect!
I'll be wearing one
of the dresses you've sent me when I go to church with my parents
next Wednesday. I feel so feminine in them, and so glad that God
made me a woman!
